Smyrna First UMC Kindergarten is a non-profit weekday school for children 2 to 5 years of age. The program, begun in 1969, is a ministry of Smyrna First UMC and is operated as a part of the church's educational program.

Our preschool staff believes that our responsibility as a church-sponsored school is to provide a program that will foster development of the whole child - emotionally, intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. Therefore, the curriculum is child-centered. Daily schedules are based on the interests of each particular age group to provide developmentally-appropriate activities and environments.

The school year begins in August and extends through the month of May. For the most part, we follow the Cobb County School Calendar.
