Youth

6th - 12th Grades

Our vision for Smyrna First Youth is to send students on their journey in a manner worthy of God by loving God, each other, our community and our world.

D. Groups

High School students are invited to take the next step in their faith journey by gathering with likeminded students in our Discipleship groups. They meet on Sunday evenings at 7pm in local homes for students who are committed to discovering deeper meaning and purpose together.

Small Groups

We offer small groups for anyone who is looking for a place to connect with other students and adults willing and eager to walk with you through your faith and life. Middle School on Sunday evenings and High School on Wednesday evenings.

Wednesday Worship

Most Wednesdays during the school year we gather for worship, which includes a time of games, music, and a message for all students in 6-12th grades. High School Small groups meet after worship.

Confirmation

Confirmation is for 6th grade students, and at least one parent, to journey together in classes, activities, mission projects, speakers and a retreat. Students are able develop their own faith commitment in Jesus and will consider membership in the church. Classes start in January and are for students who are curious about the United Methodist Church, what we believe, and are ready to step into a faith of their own more deeply.
